Terms of Service
These terms explain the agreement between you and GradeBucks when you use our platform. We've written them in plain language — please read them before signing up or submitting an inquiry.
📅 Last updated: May 2026
Early access notice: GradeBucks is currently in early access. The platform and its features are still being developed and validated. These terms reflect the current state of the platform and will be updated as we grow. We will notify users of material changes before they take effect.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, joining the waitlist, submitting an inquiry, or using GradeBucks in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use GradeBucks. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the platform.
2. What GradeBucks is
GradeBucks is a platform that connects college students with sponsor-funded reward campaigns tied to verified academic achievement. GradeBucks acts as the facilitator — we operate the platform, manage verification, coordinate campaign logistics, and distribute rewards on behalf of sponsors.
GradeBucks is not: a bank, lender, scholarship foundation, employer, educational institution, or financial advisor. We do not guarantee employment, academic outcomes, or any specific reward amount beyond what is stated in an active campaign you qualify for.
Rewards offered on the platform are funded by third-party sponsors, not by GradeBucks directly. GradeBucks is responsible for the accurate facilitation and distribution of sponsor-funded rewards but is not the source of those funds.
3. Terms for students
Eligibility
To participate as a student on GradeBucks, you must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and have a valid school email address. GradeBucks is currently available at select schools. Eligibility may vary by campaign.
Account creation
You may create one account per person. Sharing, selling, or transferring your account to another person is not permitted. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Submitting achievements
When you submit a grade document or other proof of achievement, you confirm that:
- The document is authentic and was issued by your school or institution
- The achievement shown is your own and was earned by you
- You have not altered, edited, or misrepresented the document in any way
- You give GradeBucks permission to review the document for the purpose of campaign verification
Submitting fraudulent or altered documents is a serious violation of these terms and will result in permanent account suspension. GradeBucks reserves the right to report suspected fraud to relevant institutions.
Rewards
Rewards are issued only when your submission is verified and meets the criteria of an active sponsor campaign. GradeBucks does not guarantee a reward for every submission. If no campaign is available at the time of your verified submission, your achievement is stored in your wallet and eligible for future campaign matching.
Free to use
GradeBucks is and will remain completely free for students. We will never charge students a fee to join, submit, or redeem rewards.
5. Honesty and accurate submissions
The entire GradeBucks platform is built on trust. Students trust that sponsors will deliver real rewards. Sponsors trust that student achievements are genuine. We all trust that the verification process is honest.
Any attempt to deceive, defraud, or manipulate the platform — by any party — is a violation of these terms. This includes but is not limited to:
- Students submitting falsified, edited, or borrowed grade documents
- Creating multiple accounts to claim multiple rewards for the same achievement
- Sponsors misrepresenting campaign rewards or terms to attract student submissions
- Any party attempting to manipulate campaign matching or reward distribution
Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may be referred to appropriate authorities where fraud has occurred.
6. Rewards — what to expect
Rewards on GradeBucks are funded and delivered according to the specific terms of each sponsor campaign. Here's what you can expect:
- Reward amounts and eligibility criteria are clearly stated on each campaign
- Rewards are issued only after a submission is verified and approved
- GradeBucks aims to complete verification within 24 hours of submission
- If your submission does not match a live campaign, it is stored in your achievement wallet and eligible for future campaign matching
- Reward fulfillment timelines may vary depending on the reward type and sponsor
- GradeBucks is not liable for delays caused by third-party reward providers
Our commitment: If a verified submission is matched to an active campaign, GradeBucks will ensure the reward is delivered as described. If a sponsor fails to fulfill a committed reward, GradeBucks will work to resolve the situation on the student's behalf.
7. Accounts and eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the platform only with a parent or guardian's consent.
GradeBucks is currently available to college students at select institutions. Availability may change as the platform expands. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are found to be duplicates.
8. Your content and data
When you submit documents, information, or other content to GradeBucks, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content for the specific purpose it was submitted — verification, campaign matching, and reward fulfillment.
You retain ownership of everything you submit. We do not claim any ownership over your academic records, personal information, or any other content you provide.
Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled, stored, and protected.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GradeBucks in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on the rights of any other person
- Involves submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or other accounts
- Scrapes, copies, or redistributes platform content without permission
- Transmits spam, malware, or harmful code
- Harasses, threatens, or discriminates against any person
10. Platform availability
GradeBucks is in early access. We do our best to keep the platform available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to take the platform offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues.
As an early access platform, features may change, be added, or be removed. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by changes to platform features or availability.
Campaign availability depends on active sponsor partnerships. GradeBucks does not guarantee that a qualifying campaign will always be available for every type of achievement.
11. Limitation of liability
GradeBucks is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GradeBucks and its team members are not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
- Loss of data, rewards, or opportunities resulting from platform downtime or technical issues
- Actions taken by sponsors, including failure to deliver promised rewards (though we will work to resolve such issues on your behalf)
- Decisions made by academic institutions regarding your enrollment or standing
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of GradeBucks is limited to the value of any reward directly at issue in the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a clear notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of GradeBucks after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to updated terms, you may close your account at any time.
